Nicole and the loving relationship she shares with her father

A quick glossary for this post:

Golf: A boring sport involving hitting a small, plastic ball with an approximately 1 inch diameter into a hole with a slightly larger diameter from a long distance, enjoyed solely Nicole and her father, Mr. Dady.
Annual summer father-daughter golf tournament: An event aching to cause people pain and boredom, attended by Nicole and her father, held at the "The Course," a fancy resort and golf course.

VGPS: Voluntary golf playing syndrome. Nicole and her father both have this syndrome.

So, as you might have collected, this post is about Nicole's golf tournament.

pic of nicole and dad standing out in field with clubs and bags and visor, looking happy. other teams are far away in the background. like really far, i want the nice pretty greenness of the course to stand out. (and there's one of those little flag things, too, far, but closer than the teams)

You probably also have gathered the fact that something bad's going to happen. And it's true. You're right.

Suddenly, what seemed to be a happy little golf scene turned into a horror show.

close up picture of nicoles dad with a red and sweaty face

not close up pic of nicole looking confused, next to her dad, whose puffing air out of his inflated cheeks and his cheeks are red and he's bending over. but bcareful not to make him look like flat stanely folded in half. me have to see atleast 2/3rds of his face.

Mr. Dady collapsed on the ground, clutching his back, his face as red as a tomatoes and sweat streaming off his face into pools on the grass.

now draw a picture of that. you can see nikki's feet in the picture

This was a moment of pure panic for Nicole. Her father was practically dying! She burst into tears.

pic of them both. now nicoles crying and saying "Dad? Dad?" really panicy waving her arms.

pic of her dad on the ground, in agony

another pic of agony, changed position

pic of more agony, dont forget to make him look like he's rolling around.

Poor Nicole, in a state of pure shock, she ran into the clubhouse, screaming for help, leaving Mr. Dady lying on the grass.

pic of nicole running towards the club with her back to the camera. her arms are in the air. in the right foreground Mr dadys lying clutching his back w his red face.

Finally, her old coach came out in his golf cart and drove over to her dad. He was assisted into the back seat of the cart next to his daughter, who was sniffling and wiping her eyes.

Mr. Dad, the coach, and Nicole drove back to the club, where they sat Mr. Dady down in the lobby in a soft chair.

pic of nicole and coach helping mr dady into a comphy chair, concerned. mr dady's in pain and red

He was given ice, and seemed to recover quickly.

pic of nicole, coach, and staff ice-ing mr dadys back. dont worry, you can leave his shirt on. (hes still in his chair)

Soon, he was well enough to play the tournament with Nicole, and they went outside to attempt at victory.

pic of Mr Dady hitting the ball, his face red, while nikki stands worridly buy his side. other teams stand by.

pic of the ball moving only three feet away (do one of those dotted line bouncy things)

pic of nicole and dad being sad, but other teams standing around them look smirky.

However, the day was so physically and mentally challenging for both of them, that they stayed at the bottom for the first few holes, until they finally submitted to their agony and shame and forfeited.

~~~
Just so you know, Mr. Dady is fine now. He had simply made his back cramp up somehow, and that's why he collapsed in agony. His perscription: Deep back massages, hot pads and cold pads, and rest.
PS: Wondering what the Nicole's thoughts were during this whole process? Wonder no more:
pic of nicole crying and thinking in italics. "We aren't going to be able to play in the tournament! We aren't going to be able to play in the tournament! Oh no, oh no, oh no..."
 And that's why she was crying.
IT HAS RABIES!
It was a beautiful fall day.
I was meeting up with CC to hang out at the local park near where my sister was playing her soccer tournament.
CC hadn't yet arrived, so I was walking leisurely around the perimeter of the game to amuse myself.
As it turns out, the dog didn't have rabies.
That was pretty embarassing.
Rachel (Guest post by Rachel!)
Rachel...
the KlUtZ.
That's right. Go ahead and laugh. I'm clumsy. Well I've never been exactly, well, graceful. Like in ballet when I was 7?
Pic of RJ doing ballet. in a tutu!
pic of her falling down
Yah... I had to drop out.
But I do still play soccer.
pic of RJ doing soccer.
pic of RJ giving the "camera" a thumbs up! while running and kicking the ball.
I am actually good at that.
Well,
sorta.
pic of RJ tripping over the soccer ball.
I was in a big tournament a few days ago. My team was losing by a point and really needed a shot to tie up the game.
pic of RJ running around on the soccer team. she is the pink zebra stripe team. the other team is brown.
Suddenly, CC (yes, she is on my team) passed me the ball.
pic of CC passing to RJ.
pic o rj w the ball, looking worried and confused.
How could I get it to the goal? There were opponents all around me.
pic of the people infront of the goal looking like bees and they are MAAAD.
Suddenly, I saw my opportunity.
pic of rachels eyes opened
pic of a blank spot at the end of the field. With little yellow lines around the blanck spot like flashing. ANd a big flashing sign w/ flashing arrow saying "OPENING!"
I realized: Thi was it. This was my chance.
pic of RJ face looking seriously. hair is blowing in the wind. mouth is in a little "o"
I took the chance I had to make. I ran for that small opening with all my might. But I soon noticed I had a problem. There was an enemy coming right at me.
Pic of the brown person racing at RJ
pic of them next to rj looking enraged and evil
They were right beside me! Then the challenging part began.
The brown team member slammed into me!
pic of rj stumbling along w d other person almost squishing her.
I shoved that jerk right back, hoping to knock her down.
pic of rj pushing the jerk
But she knocked me right back.
pic of rj tripping over the ball
pic of rj reaching for the ground with her hand like she showed us.
I fell on my thumb and bent it back.
I lay on the ground in excruciating pain, writhing.
pic of that.
They finally carried me off the field and then I blanked out.
~~~

When I regained control of my senses, they told me my thumb was sprained. Thank God it wasn't broken.

But I can't play soccer for awhile.

Oh, and did I mention? I am such a klutz.

It gave my friends and I something to laugh about, though.

pic of everyone acting out her falling scene.

Haha! Anyway, thanks from your time,
Rachel

A Bad Behavior Day

It's the beginning of the school year, and this week we go over the rules. There are many, many, many, rules. And they they're worded so very rudely.

With rules like these, there will ever be a revolution.

Anyway, I'd never break any of these rules in real life, but I really would like to tell the authority what I think of their rules.

Rule 1:

"You may not leave the school grounds before [the] dismissal time without checking out through the office."

Rule 2:

Be at class on time.

Rule 3:

"[In the food line] don't yell or shout while making an order."

Rule 4:

"Do not cut in line"
Rule 5:

Clean up after yourself

Rule 6:

Do not use any wheeled devices to get around school.

Rule 7:

No cheating.

Rule 8:

No loitering.

Rule 9:

Don't chew gum, throw food, or use electronics.

Rule 10:

Don't wear inappropriate clothing.

Rule 11:

Don't be defiant.

Rule 12:

"[P]ictures cannot be taken of other students during the school day."

Rule 13:

Don't bring medication or weapons to school.

Rule 14:

Do not commit sexual harassment.

Rule 15:

Do not steal.

Ect., ect.

There are many more, but the one that really irks me is this:

"All school staff members are in a position of authority on campus and in any school related activity. Direct challenges... toward a staff member will result in disciplinary action... disciplinary action could result in arrest and possible expulsion..."

I under stand why we have the rules and all, but to not be able to stand up for one's self in disagreement of the authority? I believe everyone should have that right.

Anyway, tell me what you think in a comment.

PS: I would never do those things.  I don't even want to.

SLAP!

This is one of the first posts I've composed; I completely forgot about it! I thought you'd like to see the comparison from then to now.

~ ~ ~

Nicole, one of my closest friends, used to be very violent back in 6th grade.

Here is a bit of her story:

Josh was her worst enemy. So when she got mad at him, she hit him. This particular time, she hit him on the face.

She then proceeded to tell him he was not "man enough" to hit her back.

But he thought differently.

She was slapped across the face. She was surprised, but did confirm Josh was a man.

CC and I just thought it was hilarious.

Conner's Dream Vacation

Dog attacked
Scary catfish
Mom gets appendix removed.
Remote mountain lake 7hours from his home.

So Conner went on a fantastic vacation at Lake Tahoe! And he just had a fabulous time!

First, he took his dogs for a walk.

Pic of him walking his small dogs (2), happily and cheerily.

But then, something happened.

Pic of a evil mutt running towards the small dog.

pic of the mutt picking up the small dog and shaking her back and forth (speed blur line things)

The other dog tried to save his sister:

pic of the small dog trailing his leash running to the rescue and biting the other dog.

The mutt's owner did nothing, but Conner managed to get the evil dog off his puppy.

She was a mess, the poor little dog. She was rushed ASAP to the hospital, where they shaved her and gave her stitches, where necessary.

pic of a dog w/ shaved patches and stitches in the patches.

But that didn't ruin the vacation! Nope. They still had fun riding the boats and bird watching.

pic of the family looking at ducks in the water (they are on a boat)

pic of a duck flapping (like this)

pic of just duck head.

pic of just ripples. Other ducks are unfazed.

repeat. the last 3 pics, except w/ diff ducks.

The happy bird-watching family were very upset. The youngest daughter was put to tears.

pic of family frowning and the kid crying. Conner looks like, "woah that was super cool!"

Then, suddenly, something happened:

pic of a huge catfish leaping out of the water (HUGE) looks like this, except a cat fish

But still, a second traumatic experience didn't ruin the lovely Tahoe vacation.

But then, something happened.

Conner's mom began feeling excruciating pain in her stomach

pic of her bending over in pain.

Soon the pain got so bad, she had to go the the hosital.

pic of ambulance men carrying her on a stretcheer into a van.

The doctor told the family that she needed to get her appendix removed and promptly gave her surgery.

Conner's family decided it was time to leave Tahoe.

They left as soon as she was let out of the hospital.

pic of the back of a van that is driving away.

What was your best/worst vacation like? Tell me! Leave a comment!
